Microsoft has today released Office 2016. This is a major update to the company’s suite of productivity tools, releasing both a stand-alone package for PC and Mac, as well as rolling out updates to Office 365. Read more
It’s been announced that the new version of Microsoft Office 2016 will begin arriving for users on September 2015. Having used the Preview version for a number of months, it’s a nice update visually from Office 2013 and will feature some greatly needed features like real time co-authoring within a number of programs. Real-time co-authoring in Microsoft Office documents has been a feature long requested. Microsoft have been working to bring this to the new Office 2016 and this feature is now available in the Word 2016 preview (provided the document sits on OneDrive). It is also coming to Excel and Powerpoint.
